Our commitment is to offset Greenhouse gases emitted by human activities - from the simple act of drive a car to the most sophisticated industrial process - recovering degraded riparian areas. The trees absorb carbon dioxide from the atmosphere, as well contribute to the soil, water and the biological diversity conservation.

Location:

Eldorado - SP - Brasil

The project began with the capacitation of five Quilombola traditional communities located near the city of Eldorado, São Paulo State. The communities learned from collecting the native species seeds, seedling production, implementation and maintenance of the new forest. In the project’s second year, 20,000 native trees will be planted in the riparian area of the Pedro Cuba’s River. The project activity will promote the restoration of 12 hectares of the Atlantic Coastal Forest, which will absorb approximately 3,800 tons of CO2 from the atmosphere, as well will generate income to five local communities.
