Our commitment is to offset Greenhouse gases emitted by human activities - from the simple act of drive a car to the most sophisticated industrial process - recovering degraded riparian areas. The trees absorb carbon dioxide from the atmosphere, as well contribute to the soil, water and the biological diversity conservation.

Location:

Sumaré - SP - Brazil

The restored area has 5 hectares of riparian area in the Taquara Branca River basin with the planting of 8.335 Atlantic Coastal Forest native trees. The group Os Pioneiros composed by the youth settlers was capacitated to implement and maintain the restored area.

Beyond the carbon sequestration, the project will provide environmental and social benefits as the maintenance of the water resources, capacitation and income generation to the local community.
