To achieve a better result in the plantation it is important to select native species of the region. Most of the species presented above have its natural occurrence in the Atlantic Forest ecosystem, more specifically in the State of São Paulo. If the plantation region presents characteristics of another ecosystem, such as the Cerrado (Brazilian Savanna) for example, we recommend consultation of native species in other lists.
All plants need a minimum life area to survive. In this area they acquire all the resources needed for their life cycle such as water, light and nutrients. Therefore, it is recommended that during the plantation a minimum distance of two meters between each individual is used.
In case of sprout plantation, we recommend the opening of pits with a minimum size of 30cm x 30cm x 30cm. To increase the chances of success and increase the growth rate of the individuals, it is recommended the application of calcareous and fertilizers in the pit. The quantities depends of the soil composition, however, in general terms, the quantities may vary around 1,000 and 2,000 grams of calcareous and around 100 and 200 grams of fertilizer per pit. If possible it is recommended the usage of organic fertilizer instead of the chemic ones.

The concept of Ecologic Group is only relevant for plantations characterized as reforestations, therefore, those that comprehend at least 50 trees. In this cases it is recommended the plantation of 35% of pioneer species (totalizing 50% of individuals) and 65% of non pioneer species (totalizing the others 50% of individuals).
